502 Edgewood Avenue – Walter Johnson

Built in 1904, this home is in the Stewart Addition. The house lots were platted by John A. Stewart, a former Boone County judge, who also developed most of the surrounding streets. The home is typical of those built in the early 1900s, according to city documents.

In 2002, it was named to the Notable Properties List of Columbia’s Historic Preservation Commission.
