  • National Register of Historic Places: As of May 16, 2019, there were 49 places in Boone County listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A place on the register can be anything from an Area to a house. Here is a list and links to detailed information about each place in Boone County on the National list. Note: Being on the list does not entail any regulations, requirements or protections — unless a property owner chooses to access a special loan or tax credit program. Then the property owner may be required to meet certain stipulations in terms of renovations or demolition.
